Steering Angle Sensors

The Steering Angle Sensor tells the vehicle's computer the steering wheel's turn rate, wheel angle and other important information. Inaccurate information could deactivate many of the vehicle's active safety systems.

The Steering Angle Sensor is mounted in the steering column. Any collision that damages the steering column could damage this sensor. Any post-collision alignments should include an inspection of the steering angle sensor. If the sensor can’t be recalibrated, it needs to be replaced.

NAPA® Echlin® Steering Angle Sensors are rigorously tested for fit, form and precise performance to match the original application they are replacing.
