The Oil Pressure Switch monitors the engine oil flow when the engine starts. It can detect oil pressure and can check for the lack of oil. A Coolant Temperature Switch is a thermal–sensitive switch mounted in the coolant system to monitor coolant temperature in the engine. Both help to avoid engine damage due to overheating.
